Antistatics Architecture has taken inspiration from the natural world to create an immersive, unique environment for the Vicutu Concept Store. The interior space language simulates mountains, waterfalls, deserts, and celestial phenomena, creating a place of endless rebirth and nirvana. This reflects the perseverance of mankind and the continuous evolution of fashion. The textured artistic cement wall adds a classic, low-key, and sculptural environment, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The Vicutu Concept Store stands out due to its unique properties. The architectural design reinterprets the clothing attributes of the fashion industry through a futuristic vision and exquisite architectural language. The space provides customers with a unique experience while remaining true to the expression of the fabric, tailoring, and quality of the fashion. The store creates a deeply experiential engagement with visitors, offering a unique blend of fashion and architecture.
The design realization technology used in the Vicutu Concept Store is groundbreaking. For the first time in the architectural industry, a large-scale three-dimensional aluminum woven diagrid system is adopted, reflecting the production process and fabric properties of men's clothing on the facade. The walls and display counters "grow" from the ground and the ceiling, enhancing the effect of continuity and growth through hidden light sources. Special fabricated GRG panels with "diagrid" patterns are built within the wall details, adding to the store's unique design.
The Vicutu Concept Store is located at the promenade street front of Shangde Center in Daxing District, Beijing. It spans two stories, with a total building area of 1,680 square meters. The design concept is extracted from the "V" shape of the Vicutu brand and integrated into the flexible blending to form an ecological weaving system from the stitching natural of the fashion fabric. The continuous language exhibits throughout the architectural facade to the interior special language and details.
The design of the Vicutu Concept Store faced several challenges, including utilizing different construction tectonics in one project from exterior to interior. The designers also had to apply continuous curvilinear geometry into a large space, considering both traditional construction through standard arches and lines, and inserting customized panels from digital fabrication. Despite these challenges, Antistatics Architecture successfully created a unique, immersive space that reflects the Vicutu brand's essence.
The Vicutu Concept Store is a testament to the innovative design capabilities of Antistatics Architecture. The store provides customers with a unique experience, reflecting the production process and fabric properties of men's clothing on the facade. The store's design is a testament to the possibilities of innovation within unique collaborations with other industries like architecture. The Vicutu Concept Store was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2023, a testament to its innovative design and impact on the world of fashion and architecture.
